Eggplants are generally thought of as a vegetable, but by botanical definition,  they are considered a berry.  You may have seen many tiny, soft seeds in eggplants. The seeds are edible, but they have a bitter taste. Due to the tiny edible seeds, it is known as a berry. Eggplants are also closely related to tomatoes and potatoes. Eggplants grow wild, but they’re also grown as an annual crop in areas with a mild climate. Eggplants are a popular vegetable in many cultures. [/ihc-hide-content]
