What do you hear when you speak?

Reading Time: < 1 minute

HAVE you ever listened to your voice on the recorder and got disappointed? If yes, don’t worry, you’re not alone.

In fact, the only person hears as you speak is YOU.

[ihc-hide-content ihc_mb_type=”show” ihc_mb_who=”2,3″ ihc_mb_template=”1″ ] There are two ways we could hear. First, through sound waves, in a form of pressures waves passing through the air, ear canal, eardrums, small bones of hearing, into the inner ear, where waves are converted into electrical signals that are sent to the brain to be interpreted.

Secondly, we could hear as the waves going through the skull bones directly into the inner ear rather than ear canal as the previous one.

As we speak, sound waves are produced inside, and we used to hear more through the second way. The frequency at which the tissues of the head transmit the sound best is quite low, which made the sound to be recognised. The sound that we can hear is actually lower with more resonantly.

But, what you hear on recorder sounds jingling, deeper voice of yourself. In fact, that’s what everyone else except you hear.
