How dirty are our phones?

ARE you aware how contaminated your phones are with pathogens?

Here’s a fun fact: each square inch of your phone contains roughly 25,000 germs.

Surprisingly, there could be more germs present on mobile phone screens than there are on toilet seats.

Why so? We, as workers or students are constantly with our phones and as a result of that, the device becomes warm which consequently creates an ideal breeding habitation for bacteria.

Students from the University of Surrey did an experiment in which they imprinted their phones onto Petri dishes and found Staphylococcus aureus bacteria which could lead to dangerous side effects such as skin infection, food poisoning or toxic shock syndrome.

Other germs like E.coli, influenza virus and MRSA can also be found on your mobile phones.

You may deny it, but these germs are attainable while eating and when the device is being used in public transports and even washrooms.

Yes, some even use their phones in the toilet – Yikes!

So a solution would be by using mobile phone sanitiser specifically designed for smart phones. Don’t simply use wipes or alcohol swaps – unless if your phones are water proof of course.
