Here we are now, the last month of 2022. Let’s do a review and reflect on your wellness journey. Shall we? Oh yes. Because what you don’t measure is not real. Statistics show you can better position and accomplish your goal by measuring your performance. You know where you are now and where you are heading.
So, let’s dive in. On a scale of 1-10, one being the worst and ten being the best. Where do you stand with your wellness journey this year, 2022, which includes your physical and mental health, energy, relationship, and emotions? Ponder for a moment; you know your answer.
If your score is at par with your goals, well done! It is okay if you score a lower number than you initially targeted. Don’t beat yourself up. There must be some reasons why you give yourself this score. Now I want you to ask yourself what makes you give this score. Which areas do you need to improve and focus on?
[ihc-hide-content ihc_mb_type=”block” ihc_mb_who=”unreg” ihc_mb_template=”3″ ]Spend some time and dig deep inside you. Take as much time as you need. Write on a piece of paper or in your journal. Let me give you some clues here, and you may start thinking from this lists.
– Food that you feed your body – healthy food to nourish your body
– Supplements you take – to optimize your body function
– Daily self-care products that you use which are free from chemicals and toxins
– Moving your body to stay active
– Manage your stress level
– Good quality of sleep
– Start your morning with high energy
– Connection with those around you
– Positive emotions
– Spiritual
– Life Purpose
You can add to the lists if you have any. Now, you know which areas you fall short and need to improve. Your next step is to list the action plan you want to take in the areas in which you fall short. List them down one by one. You may think this is a tedious task.
Do you know you have a 42% higher chance of achieving what you wrote? Don’t overthink; list the action plan on your paper. Make it specific. For example, I go jogging for 30 minutes every alternate day at 6 pm around my residential area.
You may feel this is a waste of time and have bad experiences with this kind of practice. This is because the action you plan for yourself may not be practical and simple enough for you to take action. Find your own pace and tune in to start doing it. That’s the key to your success.
